Another dream...

I was taken hostage with several other people, apparently quite a few other people. It started with me tied up with two other people on some sort of swinging platform, almost like a hammock. There was a bad guy and I guess his daughter holding us hostage. When they left the area, the three of us swung the platform until we fell off, then realized we were locked in and couldn't really go anywhere, but at least we could walk around. The two captors came back into the room a short time after we freed ourselves. Someone, one of the captives, came up with this plan involving going and waiting in the bathroom(which was very large, we're talkin a public restroom with like 40 stalls). Somehow, this ended with a few captives holding the female captor(daughter) as a bargaining chip and the older guy captor(father) pointing an automatic shotgun(maybe just rifle) at them. I guess the guy realized he lost and didn't want to go to jail, so he dropped the autoshottie and tried to shoot himself with his handgun, which misfired. Somehow I ended up pointing the shotgun at someone that was important to the male captor(possibly another one of the captives), and i think the female captor got loose and had a gun. I stood in a standoff with whoever i was aiming at while all the other captives got away, except I think one, cuz i think i was aiming at him(for some reason he was important, and i think it was cosmo). Of course he was also important to me, so I wasnt about to shoot... once all the others had escaped, we last two made a run for it. I was the last out, and i caught up to adarsh and several others stealing a car for our getaway. We ended up finding our way to a county college and living there in an attempt to start normal lives, in a sort of homemade witness protection program, as if it was everyone after us, including the government.

I had two dreams last night. In the first dream I went running from my house to church. I've done it before in my dreams. But this time I was running to youth group, and when I got there I realized I hadn't brought a shirt. So as I was on the stage taking a free shirt that the youth had recently given away, Adam came and asked me to go up in the attic with Meredith to get something. The three of us went up with some other guy and there was a kitchen up there. That was about all for that dream... boring.

The next dream. I was walking with 3 kids. Two young girls(maybe 10 or 12) and a baby. The girls were pushing the baby in an electronic carriage thing. Picture the motorscooters that old people ride. So these girls apparently had some relation to an old war veteran that used to tell them stories, because they were pretending that the baby was the war veteran on his electrowheelchair, and they were imagining stories for him to tell them. I must have known the kids, because I was following them to protect them, since they were out walking the streets in the afternoon. Eventually a group of people came by, and I realized that they were criminals, and they were all trying to suck up to the guards so they could get off on good behavior. I also realized that I was one of them, and I must have been in some prison camp. I turned to follow the guards in hopes of being free, but just then I remembered the kids. I knew I couldn't leave them alone, even if it meant I was stuck as a prisoner. By now the girls were carrying the baby, apparently after ditching the carriage. The road wound around past a lake, and there were other people walking on this road. That was when a flicker in the sky caught my eye. I looked up. The sky was a darker blue, almost twilight, despite the sun being at about 45 degrees. The flicker was the sun. It almost looked like sparks were shooting from the sun. I decided that something big must have collided with the sun, like an asteroid or something. I soon realized I was wrong, and the sun was exploding. woohoo yay the end of mankind. Yet it was peaceful, and beautiful to watch. The people around me silently watched, without panic. The sun was dim enough to look directly into, and it started developing solar flares that would completely encompass the sun in a sort of shell about 3 times the diameter. I remember thinking I wanted to call my dad, but couldn't take my eyes off the sun. Then I woke up.

Knowledge that the plane is going down does not prepare one for the crash.

Foresight is not preparation, and it was foolish of me to think otherwise. I made a grave mistake a while back. I thought I saw my plane crashing, so I accepted the fact. I decided to let it go, because I knew I'd survive. If anyone has read Black by Ted Dekker, you may see a parallel. Tom's premonition of a deadly virus outbreak pushes him into making it possible. Had he just ignored the thought, it never would've happened, but he tried to prevent it, and so caused it. I feel the same. I feel like my acceptance of the metaphorical plane crash is what caused it. Had I just ignored the thought, nothing would've happened. Makes no sense right? I could explain for 4 hours, but I won't.
